The 28th Annual Philadelphia Tattoo Arts Convention, presented by Villain Arts, returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center from January 23-25, 2026, promising to be bigger and better than ever before. This landmark event welcomes both industry professionals and tattoo enthusiasts, creating a family-friendly atmosphere where everyone can celebrate the art of tattooing.

Taking place at 1101 Arch Street in the heart of Center City Philadelphia, the convention transforms the Pennsylvania Convention Center into a sprawling showcase of tattoo artistry. The venue itself is one of the country’s premier meeting facilities, offering over one million square feet of flexible event space, making it the perfect backdrop for this massive gathering of talent and creativity.

The main attraction features 1,500 of the world’s best tattoo artists, including top local, national, and international talent. Attendees have the unique opportunity to get tattooed by these renowned artists throughout the weekend, with many offering both appointments and walk-up sessions. The artist roster includes television celebrities from popular shows like Ink Master and Black Ink, giving fans the chance to meet and be tattooed by their favorite TV personalities.

Beyond the tattooing itself, the convention offers diverse entertainment throughout the three-day event. Sideshow performances featuring Captain and Maybelle, America’s favorite sideshow couple, and James Maltman, a Ringling Brothers Circus performer, provide thrilling entertainment between tattoo sessions. The Cenobyte Suspension team and daredevil performer Alakazam add even more excitement to the lineup.

For those looking to shop, numerous vendors fill the exhibition halls with everything from professional tattoo equipment and industrial supplies to clothing, artwork, and jewelry. Whether you’re a professional artist looking to upgrade your equipment or a collector seeking unique pieces, the vendor marketplace offers something for everyone.

Daily tattoo competitions give attendees the chance to showcase their ink and compete for recognition in various categories, including Best Portrait in both color and black-and-gray, Best Traditional, Leg Sleeve, Chest Piece, and Back Piece. Winners receive plaques and awards during special ceremonies held throughout the weekend.

The convention runs Friday from 2 PM to 11 PM, Saturday from 11 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 8 PM, providing ample time to explore everything the show has to offer. With its central Philadelphia location, attendees can easily find nearby parking, restaurants, and hotels within walking distance of the venue, making it convenient for both local visitors and those traveling from out of town to experience this premier tattoo arts celebration.
